| The
accomplished sculptor works in stone and steel, creating large outdoor
pieces for corporate clients and smaller more evocative pieces for the
private collector. Through the years he has compiled a list of
collectors which reads like a who’s who of the Fortune 500 companies.
This tremendous success has limited him presently to only commissioned
sculpture work.
However, Wayne Trapp,
the painter, explores a more private vision with mystical symbols and
abstractions bathed in color on large canvases, and dancing figures
drawn in sensual abandonment with a bamboo pen on hand made paper.
When asked about
interpretation of his paintings and sculptures, he is thrilled when
someone captures the essence of why it was created, but the ultimate is
for people to be excited about the color, shapes and textures. The
creative process continually shapes who Wayne Trapp is, and the more
people who share that with him, the more complete the creative cycle
becomes.
