Dan Robertson:
Stay up too late, you can sleep when you’re dead.

See the egg, smell the bacon and devour life.

My work is a conversation that asks: What treasures have escaped you in your hurry to the next best thing? Have you seen the beauty around you? Have you thought to appreciate the efforts of your ancestors?

By exploring the powerful symbols, aphorisms and folklore that our culture provides, and by using the cast-off remnants of that culture, I challenge the viewer to partake more fully of life and to see beauty, effort and human achievement where they least expect it.

In the end, each piece becomes a cycle of wisdom reinterpreted, refuse rediscovered, and history modernized. Take the time to look deeply.
