| Louise,
born and raised in Atlanta, is a ten year Beaufort resident who
graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BFA in art; a major in
sculpture and a minor in art history. For many years she has been known
for her whimsical and very colorful pet portraits. Louise is now
incorporating her interest in sculpture into her paintings. She still
enjoys the use of vivid colors and interesting imagery, but has
introduced mixed media into her paintings including plaster, textiles,
acrylic and latex paints and gel medium. Louise tries to incorporate
found items as a painting surface rather than the traditional canvas.
