Nancy Chamberlain:
Nancy Chamberlain was born in what is considered the "Venice of America", a quaint and artistic area located off famous Las Olas Boulevard in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Her father was a physician and her mother was to become founder of the Historical Society in Boca Raton, Florida as well as a prominent real estate broker.

Chamberlain began her artistic career in 1981 as associate director of a fine art gallery specializing in early fine French paintings with locations in New Orleans, Louisiana and Palm Beach, Florida. She later became associated with "Christie’s" auction house in New York City as assistant to the Florida representative in Palm Beach, Florida. Following would be years spent promoting and marketing nationally well-known California and New York artists in San Francisco, California while developing an astounding list of corporate and private collectors. Later, Chamberlain became a private art consultant for Matsushita, Inc., a Fortune 500 company located in Osaka, Japan.

Due to her mother’s love of the South, several family reunions were held on Hilton Head Island, where a whole new world opened up for Chamberlain. Fast becoming a profound admirer of southeastern coastal beauty and abundant wildlife, she felt a need to let go of the "fast paced life" and took a chance on relocating to the area for personal inspiration and a new way of life.

After more than twenty years spent promoting countless other artists, Chamberlain has been devoting her private time to painting. Each canvas is carefully calculated and takes weeks to complete when blending color upon color and working towards the balance and movement she is trying to achieve.
